Service Technician-Mobile

Since 1985, Pureflow, Inc. has been pursuing excellence in high purity water systems. Our Company designs, builds, installs, and maintains high purity water equipment. Pureflow serves customers throughout NC, SC, VA, GA, FL, and eastern TN with an expansive array of industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a Mobile Service Technician whose job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following for water purification and treatment systems and equipment:

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Mobile Service Technician performs shop assembly, field installation and service of water treatment equipment at client sites; this includes both mechanical and electrical work. This individual will also serve as a Pureflow CDL driver. In general, duties include, but are not be limited to, the following: 
  • • Maintain Class A CDL license and a safe driving record 
  • • Transport and set up mobile equipment at customer sites 
  • • Follow all safety and work rules at customers sites 
  • • Maintain valid MICSS card and other clearances (e.g., clean background check & drug screen, ID badges, etc.) required for customer site access. 
  • • Maintain mobile equipment appearance and maintenance 
  • • Make deliveries to customers (e.g., PFI Greenville, SC; PFI Lakeland, FL; etc.) 
  • • Perform media rebeds using multiple techniques (i.e., vacuum trailer/pump, educator) 
  • • Assist in loading/unloading for rebed jobs, South Carolina deliveries, etc. 
  • • Assist with PFI system maintenance 
  • • Perform shop assembly and field installation/service of water treatment equipment and systems at customer sites 
  • • Interact well with customers: polite, respectful, clear, prompt, and honest 
  • • Strive for efficiency and complete work in a thorough and timely manner 
  • • Provide good documentation on time sheets & service reports (service reports reconcile with time sheets, explanation of work performed and time spent, documenting and highlighting extra work performed) 

Qualifications:

  • • 3 or more years of experience in equipment service operations, preferably in customer-facing setting
  • • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude; ability to understand instrumentation and controls
  • • Ability to get CDL Class A license 
  • • Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
  • • Basic computer skills
  • • High school diploma or GED
  • • Previous “on call” assignment experience preferred

Working Conditions:

  • • Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer facilities
  • • Regular “on call” rotation assignments
  • • Significant local travel, plus an average of 6 overnight stays per month
  • • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions
