Since 1985, Pureflow, Inc. has been pursuing excellence in high purity water systems. Our Company designs, builds, installs and maintains high purity water equipment. Pureflow serves customers throughout NC, SC, VA, GA, FL, TX and eastern TN with an expansive array of industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a highly motivated Service Manager with a mechanical/technical aptitude to mentor, develop, train, and support the Field Service Technicians. The service team is your internal customer and you are expected to provide uncompromised quality, profitability and excellent customer service. The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine schedule, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on operational priorities and service routes based on efficiency through working with the Account Analyst team.   In addition, coordinate emergency call responses ensuring minimum disruption to customer operations through our 24/7 on-call system. 
  • Conduct inbound and outbound telephone calls and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and high quality.  Provide technical troubleshooting to technicians and customers.  Share relevant information to technicians and team-members as appropriate.  Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training and customer compliance to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety.
  • Manage all preventive maintenance programs to ensure timely and efficiencies.
  • Ensure field service equipment is maintained for use and available: cleaning skids, rest equipment, tools, etc.
  • Work with the Purchasing department to ensure correct service inventory is available and pulled for service in a timely manner
  • Manage the completion of open Service Orders and work with the Account Analyst to resolve billing and service issues.
  • Schedule routine account visits to communicate with customers, ride with technicians and inspect systems for satisfactory performance and cleanliness
  • Partner with Engineering department and Training department to provide technical and troubleshooting support
  • Coordinate with Installation Team all equipment installations (commissioning, startup, troubleshooting & pilot testing)
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and available
  • Conduct service technicians' meetings weekly

Job Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of Hands-on field service maintenance experience (face to face with customers)
  • 3-5 years of experience in management of field service technicians
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including the desire to develop and lead teams and building trusted working relationships with customers
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple task / projects
  • Demonstrate intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Regular hours: 7:00am-5:00pm. Overnights, extended hours, and weekend hours are likely; Sunday work is rare but occasionally necessary for emergency reasons
  • Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer facilities
  • Regular "on call" rotation assignments
  • Significant local travel, plus average of 6 overnight stays per month
  • Must have and maintain a record of safe driving with no recent moving or driving violations
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions
  • Frequent walking in a large production facility
  • Capable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concrete
  • Must be able to safely perform all the duties of the job
  • Must be able to pass post-offer/pre-placement background screen and DOT Requirements, which include a drug screen and job-related physical abilities testing
