Materials Assistant
Since 1985, Pureflow, Inc. has been pursuing excellence in high purity water systems. Our Company designs, builds,
installs and maintains high purity water equipment. Pureflow serves customers throughout NC, SC, VA, GA, FL, and eastern TN with an expansive array of industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a Materials Assistant whose job responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory
- Ensure accuracy of data in MRP system (multiple locations), including quantity on hand, value, descriptions, etc.
- Timely and accurate material transfers and issuance, and recording transactions in MRP system
- Manage and adjust max/min levels to maintain optimum stock levels
- Responsible for quarterly, periodic and cycle count inventories, including auditing, investigating and resolving
variances.
- Support Customer Service, Engineering, and Sales with costing, quoting and sourcing materials
- Schedule material demands to ensure material for scheduled services is on hand
Shipping & Receiving
- Ensure all sales orders are packed properly, and shipped on time
- Communicate freight charges for outbound shipments to appropriate departments in a timely manner
- Ensure material is accurately received; process paperwork promptly and efficiently
- Ensure receiving quality procedures are followed
Purchasing & Planning
- Purchase stocked inventory and operation supply items in compliance with Company purchasing procedures
- Proactively manage material for service orders and provide feedback to Operations and Service
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory management
- Familiar with mechanical and electrical components
- Preferred: Degree from an accredited school or US Military in business administration materials management, accounting, or logistics preferred.
- Competent computer skills with MRP system, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to organize, assess, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables
- Self-starter and ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Working Conditions: Usual office working conditions
