About the Position:

We are seeking an Installation Technician - TEAM LEADER for our Graham, NC office whose primary focus is to bring efficiency in the quality execution of assigned installation projects. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and performs installation and start-up of new water systems at client sites
    • Coordinates between account manager, engineering, fabrication, and installation teams 
    • Provides direct support to project teams to ensure accomplishment of agreed upon goals, objectives, and deadlines
    • Communicates regularly on status of project goals and issues impacting group success
    • Addresses issues related to needs or quality of work
    • Coordinates resolution of issues and concerns with appropriate staff
    • Ensures customer satisfaction and builds strong customer relationships
  • Serves existing accounts by performing routine maintenance, analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, and resolving problems
  • Develops effective, trusted working relationships with all customers and team members
  • Accurately documents service/installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records
  • Demonstrates safe work practices driving, in shop and work sites
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of mechanical industrial experience, preferably in customer-facing settings
  • Must have strong mechanical skills
  • Electrical experience a plus; ability to understand instrumentation and controls
  • Knowledge of a proper use of hand and power tools
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and work instructions
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic & capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
  • Average computer skills (Internet Explorer, Word, Excel)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without physical restrictions; manual dexterity important

Organizational Framework:  This position is part of the CLLIP (Commercial, Lab, Light Industrial, and Pharmaceutical) team and reports to the Operations Director.  As Team Leader, this position serves team members by coordinating schedules, solving problems, and providing guidance.  

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer facilities
  • Hours usually 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, varies according to project load
  • Significant local travel, plus average of 3-5 overnight stays per month
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions
  • Frequent walking in a large production facility
  • Capable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concrete
  • Must be able to safely perform all the duties of the job
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screen, background check, job-related physical abilities test
