Chemical Engineer - FL

Since 1985, Pureflow, Inc. has been pursuing excellence in high purity water systems.  Our Company designs, builds, installs, and maintains high purity water equipment.  Pureflow serves customers throughout NC, SC, VA, GA, FL, and eastern TN with an expansive array of industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a Chemical Engineer in the Lakeland, FL office whose job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following for water purification and treatment systems and equipment:

Job Responsibilities:

• Review customer RFQ (Request for Quotation) specifications and develop process engineering and design strategies to meet the applicable requirements; develop a clear and precise understanding of the job requirements; prepare proposal and submittals and collaborate with sales team to promote best design options
• Design system and size components; develop P&ID
• Develop Cost Estimate for proposals
• Assist sales team in preparation and, if requested, presentation of final project proposal
• Prepare and oversee project documentation, including spec sheets, O&M manuals, and validation documents, as applicable
• Manage customer submittals, including support drawings and specifications
• Work with designers to produce detailed engineering
• Serve as a project manager for awarded projects
• Maintain project schedule and budget
• Conduct project review and evaluation
• Identify opportunities for and drive continuous process improvements, including product and system standardization, standard operating procedures, and engineering standards
• Identify potential issues and drive resolution to ensure schedules and budgets are met

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in chemical engineering
• B.S. or Masters in chemical or industrial Engineering (P.E. preferred)
• Previous job quoting/bid assembly experience
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous customer relations experience preferred
• Previous equipment design or operating experience preferred
