Business Development Manager

Since 1985, Pureflow, Inc. has been pursuing excellence in high purity water systems. Our Company designs, builds, installs, and maintains high purity water equipment. Pureflow serves customers throughout NC, SC, VA, GA, FL, and eastern TN with an expansive array of industrial and commercial applications. We are seeking a Business Development Manager whose job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following for water purification and treatment systems and equipment:

Responsibilities:

  • Your primary focus will be to build PFI's market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. In general your duties are expected to include, but not be limited to, the following: 
  • • Support business development for new systems and accounts by researching the market, generating and developing leads and following up on prospects.
  • • Develop existing accounts by seeking out new opportunities with current customers and maintaining favorable relationships with current customers. 
  • • Prepare/present sales quotations and manage sales process to obtain PO to meet Branch sales & margin goals.
  • • Provide management with regular reports on sales activity, prospects, customer issues, and sales strategies.
  • • Follow established internal reporting procedures to ensure that the Company's management team is always aware of and kept current on all sensitive customer service issues. 
  • • Coordinate/Participate with marketing department on trade shows and lead generation. 
  • • Review customer/prospective customer design options with engineering and technical support when needed.
  • • Coordinate with Installation Dept. on equipment installations (e.g., commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and pilot testing).
  • • Develop and exercise efficiency regarding Service Technician objectives.
  • • Liaise with service call center team to coordinate trouble call responses, for minimum disruption to customer.
  • • Serve as primary backup for emergency calls and services of accounts.


Qualifications:

  • • Minimum 5 or more years of experience in equipment service operations, preferably customer-facing settings
  • • 3 or more years of experience in sales
  • • High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; good understanding of instrumentation and controls
  • • Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CRM software skills preferred (ACT)
  • • Self-motivated, results-oriented, highly-organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
  • • Excellent communication skills
  • • Previous “on call” assignment experience preferred

Working Conditions:

  • • Significant travel, plus an average of 6 overnight stays per month
  • • Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer facilities
  • • Regular “on call” assignments
  • • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
