About the Position: 

In an Applications Engineer position at Pureflow, you are accountable for high purity water system design documents, customer presentations, and continuous engineering process improvement. If you are humble and hungry, have a strong commitment to integrity, and enjoy working with a customers and a team, you could be an ideal candidate. Your primary job responsibilities would include:

• Review customer RFQ (Request for Quotation) specifications and develop process engineering and design strategies to meet the applicable requirements
• Develop a clear and precise understanding of the job requirements
• Prepare proposals using Microsoft Word and Salesforce software
• Collaborate with sales team to promote best design options
• Design system and size components; develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) including a number of different unit operations: (Reverse Osmosis, Electrodeionization, UV equipment, Ultrafiltration, Media/Activated Carbon Filtration, Water Softening, Degasification, etc.)
• Develop Cost Estimates for proposals using Microsoft excel based tools and templates
• Assist sales team in preparation and presentation of final project proposal
• Conduct site meetings with customers and Pureflow sales team members to review customer requirements, facility information and water need in order to develop process designs, scope of work and proposals for new projects to support their facility
• Conduct site reviews of equipment in facilities with Pureflow sales team in order to develop scope and proposal for system maintenance contracts
• Prepare process design documentation to support awarded projects

• Work with controls team to support on site startup of new projects, develop and execute equipment testing protocol for PFI installed equipment
• Take part inclosed project review and evaluation, implement corrective actions to sales or applications processes to more accurately price and quote future projects
• Identify opportunities for and drive continuous process improvements, including product and system standardization, standard operating procedures, and engineering standards

Additional Job Responsibilities:

• Create 2D P&I drawings and room layouts using AutoCAD LT software package to support proposals and sales process
• May perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 - 10years of engineering experience in water treatment or other related industries (power, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, beverage, manufacturing, etc.)
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be comfortable interacting and presenting with new and existing customers, sales team and diverse group of personnel within Pureflow

Working Conditions:  Travel for this position is about 25% and will require overnight travel.  Majority of work performed in office environment and at customer sites.
